A little random, but this is just genuine curiosity. I've always been pretty fucked in the sleep department, in schedule, hours, and quality alike.

There is a subsection of people, I believe estimated at 2-5% depending on the region, that appear to sleep more effectively and thus can sleep for periods of 5-6h without negative effect. You could be right.Around 2AM. I have to be at work around 9, but I also have a significant other, a desire to keep fit resulting in time at the gym or (weather permitting) on a trail, and a number of hobbies and interests. If I slept a full 8 hours, one of those things would have to suffer. I seem to do just fine on 5 or 6 hours of sleep anyway.
