What's the most neutral English accent?

General American, so many use it. RP is pretty neutral as well.
Personally prefer British expatriate (general British) accents, they tend to lose all regional flavour, so they tend to be pretty neutral. It's the one I've got.

I'm curious how many people claiming this or that flavor of American/British English are in fact native to the accent, or at least country they're repping.

Then he's from some Eastern, rural area even though he currently lives in Vancouver. There's some gay Canuck historian on youtube who lives in Vancouver but he immediately stands out as an Ontarian or some shit; they're the ones who do the 'oots' and 'aboots' and "Hey Berb bring the ker around we're go-un to the perk!"

Canadian vowel raising is pretty widespread in Canada. But Canadians don't know they have it and will argue tooth and nail over this shit. Here's a test: Does the ''ou'' sound in the words ''lout'' and ''loud'' sound different to you?

I don't hear people say lout enough to make a decent comparison. If I had to guess I'd say I pronounce them slightly differently, though.

I live in the Pacific Northwest and I hear all the time from visitors and people I've talked with across the pond that we have a very bland and practically non-existent accent. We basically all sound like news anchors.

Lout in a general American accent has the same ''ou'' sound as in ''how''. Same with mouth, about, out. The Canadian accent is subtle though which is why it's difficult to notice if you have it.

I know what he sounds like already. He's an easterner and he has a stupid accent as a result.
