The date was August 12, 2013. Movie producer John J. Strauss called into The Howard Stern Show to play part in a bit about casting wack packers for an upcoming film.
Here's the clip:
The general idea of this canceled film was to capitalize of the then new phenomenon of YouTube fame. Two main characters become viral hits and move out to L.A., meet many "famous" "influncers", and learn many important lessons along the way.
Not much is known about its cancelation or what YouTuber were attached to the project. SMOSH, Shane Dawson, and What the Buck were speculated at the time. Another rumor, no banks or investors could be sold on a movie about YouTubers.
The actual question, Strauss gets the project up and running again. He asked you what YouTuber he should approach to hire. Who's your picks? What stupid shit would they do? Rewrite the premise to better inline your Internet Famous hires to true comedy.
Sorry, this was a long build up to a question.
