This wouldn't be the first time I've had a firearm pointed at me with malicious intent, for some background, I served in the USMC and did two tours of Iraq, I did my specialty in unarmed combat and graduated in the top 98th percentile. Disarming an assailant is second nature to me. I'm 6'4", 240lbs, 3% bodyweight natty, and I do MMA. I been a gun owner my whole life, ever since my father brought me to the range as a kid. I could pick up a rifle and put one big hole through the target, beating most of the grown ass men in marksmanship at a young age, I been practicing ever since I got my first .22 marlin for my 6th birthday. So understand, I'm no stranger to both shooting a gun
and using it for self defense.
My first time staring down a gun in unarmed combat was at 16, when I was going home from a party at a friend's house, an assailant came out of an alleyway and pointed a .44 caliber revolver at me. I was with my two girlfriends at the time (yeah, you didn't misread that

) so I knew I couldn't risk them being hurt. I quickly recalled the Systema Quick Disarm No. 3, a technique I'd been practicing my basement gym, and needless to say, the guy was left standing without a weapon looking dumbfounded, I could see the fear in his eyes as he realized he'd done fucked up and messed with the wrong guy. I didn't think much of it as he ran off, but needless to say, I got very lucky that night if you know what i'm talkin' bout. Still have the revolver though, it's in my display case. Makes for a great conversation starter.
Second time was at a bar when I was 21, I was going out for my first sip of alcohol, now, this bar was in the "bad" part of town, but that didn't scare me, cuz I figured I'd be fine. I went in with some friends, and before I knew it, a girl came up and sat down besides me, we were just chattin' but I could tell she was into me. A few beers in, a guy comes over. Big motherfucker (not as big as me tho) 6'3, 200lbs, 10% bodyweight, apparently, he was her boyfriend or something and was jealous. Tried to talk the guy down but he pulled out a .9mm SIG m17. Could see him reach for his holster, but in that moment, my mind went somewhere unexpected. You see, I have a big respect for the Japanese samurai and their honor code, and I always admired their unparalleled swordsmanship, the katana was truly the most powerful weapon in the world before the gun, and I seek to incorporate Japanese swordsmanship into my martial arts, both armed and unarmed. I recalled reading somewhere about a technique where they would kick the opponent's sword back in its sheath before he could draw it. Figured that would work. So I precision kicked his hand, forcing him to put the gun back in the holster before he could draw it. Guy looked at me stupid with a mix of shock and terror. I simply got up, punched him in the stomach, and chopped him in his brachial plexus. Needless to say. Guy went down like a sack of bricks before he could do anything else. I dissassembled the gun (can't have him hurting nobody else), put him in the recovery position, and walked out of there with his bitch. I bet he really regrets the decision to try and pull a gun on me, cuz it's not a very smart move. Especially if you're putting other people in danger.
Third time I was caught unarmed by an assailant (or assailants, in this case) was in Iraq. Now, for some backstory, my nickname in the marines was "Blackout". Cus during combat, I'd often black out and forget what happened. Tango is spotted one moment. I'm looking at some dead terrorists the next. It also had something to do with the fact that a blackout is what you could expect if you went up against me in a boxing match, but that's besides the point. One morning I'm out on patrol, and I leave my station to quickly go take a piss. I stupidly leave my AR15 behind, and wouldn't you know, three terrorists with AKs are waitin' for me. I dunno what happened, but I blacked out, and all of them are dead with lots of blood coming out. Turns out I'd gone and killed them with my KABAR. 3 guys with AKs against one guy with a knife don't seem like good odds, do they? I guess I must have a guardian angel. I'm a devout christian. I own an extensive gun collection that I practice with regularly, I go to the gym and do MMA. Also I'm a trump supporter and a redditor.
So what would I do if someone (stupidly) pulled a gun on me? Experience tells me, it's prolly gonna be alot more painful for the assailant than it's gonna be for me, both mentally and physically.
