Yeah but that’s all troons though. So you’ll basically have an unending loop of 3-4 troons feigning limp-wristed assaults on each other while screaming “It’s MA’AM! ITS MA’AM!” then suddenly they all roll into hedgehog protection positions like a farmyard full of fainting goats.
My point is: we need to make Troon House a reality show.

Not if you pad the team with twink troons for Chris to silverback over. Troons seem to come in two flavors, big fat fucks with girlbeards and skinny little shut-ins that are one bad YouTube comment away from “resting in power”.
Just look at the mooks that visit Chris and post pictures of it. Chris usually has 4 inches and 60 pounds on most of them.

I 100% believe Chris could have lived a normal life and contributed to society if he was raised right. Unfortunately, his parents fought the school system that was trying to help him, and eventually just gave up on him, treating him like a child, and never challenging him.
He's not tarded, but to get him working you'd have to break through over 3 decades of bad habits and install basic functioning skills, which no one will do for free.
The CADD degree was also a farce. Community colleges will often pass tards who should have failed out of pity.

There’s people with legit Down’s syndrome that have jobs, spouses and their own apartments. I think if Chris even lacked autism, he’d still be an lolcow to some degree.

Chris is very lazy and just plain ole dumb. Sometimes I think his dumbness is a bigger factor in his behavior than autism is. He will never work, he doesn't want to, has always been too lazy, dumb and coddled to, and now that he's a god(dess) doesn't think he should have to. Thanks to taxpayers, he doesn't.
But back to Barb dying...I'll have to wait till Null spotlights it to find that out.

Chris is a tragic protagonist, with his fatal flaws being laziness and stupidity. His inability to learn from the past or sympathize with others is as astounding as it is entertaining. Consider his reactions to most trolls. Things that were clearly meant to get a reaction out of Chris simply didn't. His past heartsweets moving in with Clyde? Pandahalo dying in a fire? Julie being a 13 year old boy? All of this was met with variations of "Oh". The things that set Chris off almost exclusively pertained to himself or others image of him. Asperchu and Liquid hit Chris so hard because his flaws were being directly called to attention and put on trial in ways that a fake sweetheart couldn't.
The laziness should be expected at this point. I doubt even homelessness can fix that.

Eh, I don't think Chris can get a job at this point.
He couldn't even hold down an entry-level job at Wendy's for more than a month and that was years before any trolls or online infamy.
Now he's gotten to a point where anywhere that could hire him probably won't, whether it be to avoid prank calls from snarky teenagers trying to be the next Clyde Cash or to avoid any negative press or unwanted attention.
I know that a lot of people tend to overestimate the infamy or notoriety of lolcows, but Chris is reaching a point where he's become an internet celebrity of sorts, even if it's mainly because actual internet celebrities like PewDiePie make videos about his past antics.
Plus, even with his online notoriety aside, he's likely seen as a local nuisance in the greater Charlottesville/Ruckersville area thanks to his myriad store bans and misdemeanor trespassing arrests. That in and of itself can be a job hurdle.
Honestly, I think Chris will abandon the hoard at 14 Branchland once Barb's finally dead and buried. He hates living there and has for a long while now. Barb is literally the only thing tying him to the place and with how weak and old she is and how deep Chris is into his delusions, I'm surprised he hasn't packed all his stuff into his car and just drove off.
Part of it is probably due to being lazy, and I think part of it is that he's still afraid of Barb on a certain level.
Chris is going to leave 14 Branchland Court once Barb dies, and it will likely be of his own volition. The question is whether or not he will end up permanently homeless or live in some ratty apartment or trailer barely scraping by on the tugboat every month. Or end up homeless and then committed after some freak emergency.

Give Chris's state of mind, people overestimate frankly the chance of a "freak emergency." Chris will be absolutely unable to handle homelessness and will do something deranged, of this there is no doubt. Even if it's assuming Defensive Hedgehog publicly and talking to himself, there's gonna be a point at which he attracts the attention of law enforcement. Now, at the beginning, they'd probably treat him as any other crazy person, but then again, maybe not, given how much he's been memed up, and most importantly, because what the fuck is Chris going to do if he's already in a full schizotypal-autismal freakout and the cops approach him? Right. He might catch an ass whooping or get arrested but he is going onto some kind of psychiatric institution. He'll be medicated, eventually. He'll get out. May have to repeat this once or so but then they will find him assisted housing. This shit is going to be less exciting than people think but will also guarantee some quality (and depressing) YouTube footage and many deranged tweets.

No, they've never referenced Chris having a "guardian". Chris is a legal adult. He can't lose his legal autonomy without a significant process.

Good point, anyplace locally that would hire somebody “like” Chris, has probably had numerous negative interactions with Chris. Your Walmart’s, fast food joints etc., if he’s not outright banned from them, I’m sure he’s done something disruptive enough to get his application immediately filed into the ol’ plastic filing cabinet.

Not right now, true. But they may be forced into having to take an interest in him once Barb kicks the bucket depending on Chris' behavior after that point and how far into the legal system that goes. Social Services in that part of the world typically tries to place people with mental disabilities with family or guardians ahead of housing them on the taxpayers' dime whenever possible. However, when the alternative is potentially throwing a slow-in-the-mind into prison, the courts may filter them into some sort of mental health facility or program ahead of putting them in with the general population.
The cost of doing something like processing him through the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (which may end up in a referral to the UVA health system), followed by transferring him to the Western State Hospital (affiliated with the UVA health system, hence UVA's potential for involvement), and finally caring for him in that facility for x amount of time isn't cheap. But if the court says he's going to the laughing academy, he's going. That said, it's also clear why Social Services does their best to keep people out of the behavioral health system unless absolutely necessary.
Fun footnote: Western State Hospital was originally known as the Western Lunatic Asylum, and was the site of eugenics experiments by Joseph DeJarnette. Those experiments took place at its old location (still standing), which is where Chris went ghost hunting with Copitz.

Of course he can't hold a job facing the public, but if a downie can sort glass in some factory or mop an office, so can Chris. Thing is, he doesn't want to. He avoids any kind of effort and inconvenience like fire, but if he didn't have any other choice he could hold a mongo-job hidden away from the public eye where he couldn't scare the villagers like the modern Quasimodo he is.
