I may be wrong, but I believe the prostitute was right before the whole tomgirl thing began. In fact, losing his virginity might well have precipitated his tomgirl asshattery. Chris learned the hard way that getting his dick wet couldn't grant him anything he really wanted, so he branched out into other, even more ludicrous means to gain some measure of legitimacy somehow.

Chris has zero clue about what is age-appropriate because his parents never taught him that nor did they try at all to encourage or enforce it, hell his 18th b-day he was getting presents that would be most right for a 7 or 8 year old, his parents kept him so isolated, lacking any healthy stimulation or exposure to other varieties of interests and activities . Most of Chris's shit is his fault, but, i will say the parental units and his environment plays a large part of it: in short; one does not develop or grow in a vacuum or void.
there is nothing charming about a middle age man or even a 20 something being ''child-like'' its cringe. period. plus chris has never been genuine, its always about what HE thinks he can gain, h es always been manipulative and had ulterior motive and hidden agendas , chris has always been focused solely on what chris can get or benefit from doing ''x y z '' . She probably smiled out of amusement as well as hiding the cringe and discomfort, i mean honestly, being treated or seen through someone's eyes enough of a childish view in that they give you such a childish gift - that would have been cute if say, a 5 or 6 year old gave it to her, but no, a middle age man; that had to take her aback.

True. I would say the only time that Chris didn't feel isolated was when he went to Ohio. Sure, he was tricked, but people Chris' age at the time, took road trips all the time. It was until he came back, Borb had a stern lecture to Chris, treating like a child and the autistic circle continued.
Chris was never going to give up giving stuff that he thought was a good idea. Chris usually never follows other people's advice even though it looks bad. The only time he did this was with the attraction sign, when he kept on displaying it until Barb told him it was re.tarded. Look like it would have been something that could been corrected when Chris was in the last years of high school. I assume his parents told him to knock off with the kid crap because he was becoming an adult, but Chris pushed back. If I had to assume anything it was because since of Chris' 'tism, it was, and still is, his coping mechanism. Borb had no choice but to "play along."

I’d say autistic manchildren on the barely functional level quickly go from somewhat charming in a naive innocent way to extremely creepy when they become obsessed with sex.
Like it’s not admirable or anything but if you’ve got a clearly autistic person drawing pictures of Sonic all day on DeviantArt and playing children's card games at a games club or something like that it’s pretty cringeworthy but you can understand what’s going on and they’re not harming anyone but as soon as they become sex pests with little regard for personal space then it becomes a problem, particularly due to the age of the people they’re around due to their interests.
