Chris Chan would be a fool not to take this to trial. Any plea deal would not be lenient enough because he would have to admit guilt in order to get a plea deal but he thinks he did nothing wrong thus I think this goes to trial. I wonder, will Chris Chan’s case be the first case in USA history where a man is found not guilty of having sex with his mom because of his autism? Legal scholars will be discussing this trials for decades after it is over. Hell maybe even 100 years later people will be reading about the Chris Chan incest trial during American history class. If Chris Chan can prove Barb groomed him I think that it’s the best and only legal defense right now.
He would have to plead guilty, or try to argue deminished compacity and to say that maybe Barb enticed him
Maybe Chris Chan could bring up how his mom forced him to sleep in the same bed as him for a while
Chris Chan could go on the stand and his lawyer could ask him, “how did it make you feel when your mom forced you to share the same bed as you?” And Chris Chan will say, “I felt uncomfortable sir.”
It's scary that from a legal point of view you have a point on how he could possibly get out of this situation.
Though the biggest problem in this is 'Chris never shuts the fuck up and listens for any length of time' so he'd torpedo the entire defense. There is how ever some thing to Chris was groomed. From past reports it's hard to deny it. I don't think Chris started the odd flirty mannerisms personally. He's fair to socially awkward, and I think Barb encouraged it.
