> muh "story" excuses shitty gameplayhttps://youtube.com/watch?v=BjJ4YY1aDuEVer archivo adjunto 6426059
Spec Ops the line is the first Reddit game. It has horrible gameplay and journalists make excuses by saying the gameplay is supposed to be shit because of the writing. Meanwhile, in ghost recon advanced warfighter 1 & 2 subtle about you risking your life to restore a corrupt unpopular Mexican government during a civil war for US corporate interest and advancing an early staged North American unions
I hear this a lot from redditors. LMFAO, story in a video game? That's a secondary thing, if you want a story focused medium, go and watch a movie.
I would unironically argue that if any game tries to shovel in "morals" in a game, it's a shit game. The game should allow the player to act out however they want in order to actually explore the topics of "morals". American Krogan made a great video on how Red Dead Redemption 2 is shoehorning moralfagging with points given to the players: If you shoot "racist" characters (a game mission) you get rewarded for it, and when shooting a (potential) criminal NPC you do get punished for it. It's pretty much had a "kill niggers = bad, kill racist NPC's = good" point/mission system.
Any WW2 game (Wolfenstein, Cod, Medal of Honor and Battlefield etc...), "heckn' evil nazis" is such a tiresome meme and now just retarded considering how everything turned out.
