What was the first two albums you bought?

The first? Nirvana's Bleach, literally because on the CD cover it looked like they could rock the fuck out.

After that, I got mine from one of those club subscriptions, Columbia House I think; 10 "free" albums from a shitty short list for full price of five (or something like that). I ended up picking NIN's Broken (along with the cool mini-disc), Aphex Twin's I Care Because You Do, Ministry's The Mind is Terrible Thing & Psalm 69, Pantera's Vulgar Display, Skinny Puppy's VIVIsect VI.

The kicker was I picked all of them based on the tiny fucking thumbnails of album covers, along with how edgy or weird they looked/sounded.. and holy shit. It was all downhill after that.

Remember Metallica's St Anger being the first album I bought (yes, it's dogshit, but it just came out and I listened to it a lot. Still like the song Invisible Kid). My second may have been Pantera's Cowboys From Hell.

Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and AJA

ETA: ^^^ The above albums were my partners first 2 purchased albums.
I was given a whole lot of albums before I purchased any.
The first 2 albums I was ever given (by parental unit) Puff the Magic Dragon and Jesus Christ Superstar
First 2 I ever purchased? Tapestry and One Size Fits All.

Good question OP

Última edición:
I'm not entirely sure. But I think it was Ten by Pearl Jam and Flesh & Blood by Poison. The first album I ever owned was a cassette of Storm Front by Billy Joel back in Christmas of 1989. I still have it.

Elton John's Don't Shoot Me I'm Only the Piano Player, and The Beach Boys' Smiley Smile. They looked interesting.
