I have garbage range. I'm not sure of the exact scale, but I have a deeper, quieter voice. I have a hard time raising my voice or singing my heart out.

First off, who specifically analyzes their singing voice? What a bunch of weirdos.
Second, I don't understand how anyone has a set vocal range they can write down. Depending on how tense or warmed up a person is at any given time it could alter their range by a ton. Are these choir people testing people's vocals from rest? Or do they get to warm up a little? This is very confusing to me.
