An old custom shitbox, that was low end when I built it.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 3100 (8) @ 3.90 GHz
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT [Discrete]
Memory: 12.03 GiB / 15.54 GiB (77%)

Plays all the gaems I throw at even if I occasionally have to knock them down to medium settings I mostly play older titles anyway.

I bought a Tuxedo Polaris back in 2021 that hardware-wise has been almost perfect up to now, though I may have to replace the battery soon. With the exception of the SSD, and only because I'm a digital hoarder, I haven't replaced or upgraded a single thing on it yet, haven't had to. It has all the specs and ability to upgrade parts as a gaming laptop without too many stupid LEDs or racecar design elements screaming to everyone in sight "THIS IS A GAMING LAPTOP". I don't play games, I just want something that is somewhat future-proof.

I use time dilation and an army of robots to move rocks into designated positions each representing 1s and 0s across the surface of the long-dead earth in the year 21,800 via my pocket dimension. A network of imaging satellites tied into an AI interpretation algorithm translates the positions of those rocks into bits in memory.

I ran out of money to get RAM so I had to improvise. The rest of the computer is some off the shelf parts from Goodwill I think.

My desktop is a self build, like most of my computers are:
Ryzen 7 9800X3D
GTX 5080
64 gig DDR5

My daily laptop is a Thinkpad T480, I think. I have like 4 Thinkpads. I don't even know which one I'm using right now.

I also have a fancy lab setup, but that's probably better to save for the home server thread.

I built mine in summer 2025. It feels like I got on the last chopper out of Vietnam.
Same here. My GPU went and offed itself around that time, so I figured I'd get the newest model. That meant I needed the newer PCIe slots, so I might as well get a new motherboard. And once you get the new motherboard, well, you might as well just do a fresh build.

I was so annoyed but in retrospect, the timing was excellent.

I was eyeballing the 5090 but was like naw it would double the price of my rig and the 7900XTX is way better price/performance wise now im mad at myself since the 5090 is like 5k+ now,

I have a couple laptops but I'm currently using a custom desktop PC and a Lenovo Legion 5

Using good old Dell Optiplex 3020 MT I snatched from old workplace for free (they wanted to throw it away as it had nothing valuable inside, just some shitty Pentium).
I've upgraded it with Xeon E3-1241v3, 2x8GB of new old stock Kingston DDR3-1600 RAM sticks, MSI Ventus GTX 1650 GDDR6 and 120GB+960GB SSDs.
In the future I will reuse the case and swap everything to something newer.

My main machine is an M2 Max Macbook Pro. Mostly use it for all my 'serious' computer stuff like programming, music production, writing, etc.

I also have a desktop gaming setup with a 7950X and an RTX 4080.

Mine fucking died this week so I had to order a new one. I just wanted to play Wizard101 and binge drink goddamn it.
UPDATE: I had a FUCK of a time setting up my new laptop holy shit. I loaded my last backup? Nah, sorry retard your keyboard won't work now. This is a brand new laptop out of the goddamn box. So I spend hours of trial and error until I just factory reset the stupid thing. It's working now but GODDAMN talk about frustrating.

I wanted to get a Dell XPS with a dedicated gpu last year, but it was way over my budget so I ended up buying a regular gaming laptop. Its really fucking loud and I always have to wear headphones when using it.

It’s got one of those strange i7’s with a really long name (which I cant remember off the top of my head) a 4060 and 16gb or ram. I upgraded the storage to 2tb.

believe it on not this has a Wifi capabilities

Laptop is a Microsoft Surface Book 2 (13.5" version) running Ubuntu 24.04 with the custom Surface-kernal.

Desktop is some pre-built I bought a year or so ago with a 13 Gen Intel i5, 64GB RAM, RTX 3070 and whatever other crap it came with, running Ubuntu.

I used to have a custom built gaming PC, but I've sold it more than 5 years ago since I stopped playing games (and the retarded me discovered an even more expensive hobby, cough cars, cough).

Currently I own an HP ZBook X2 G4 running W10 Enterprise, which I bought brand new at a massive discount by an outlet store. It's more than enough for my casual PC usage and the rare instance of me playing Minecraft with friends. On the plus side, I love the 4K 10 bit panel! It's an impressive piece of kit considering the form factor: its a tablet PC with an i7, Quadro GPU and upgradable storage and RAM.

amd ryzen 5 7500F, amd radeon RX 9060xt 8gb, 16gb ram, 1tb nvme ssd, 10tb hdd, psu i forgot, monitor 3840x2160@144 IPS, keyboard + mouse + headphones + mic i can't be arsed figuring out.

edit: operating system currently is omarchy

I have 2 old Thinkpads I bought on ebay for cheap and refurbed myself. A T580 and a T480. Why 2? Cause I need to run windows 11 for school on one of them and I got them so cheap that having 2 wasn't a big deal.

Yes, I could've ran my T580 on 11, but I also fucking hate Windows 11. I got my 580 dialed in nicely. Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC with all the big zogslop Bill Gates feeds his herd of nigger cattle removed. I did also use LTSC on the 480 for Windows 11 to dezog it as much as possible as well. But the UI and everything is still so much worse.

There's also my desktop, a gaming PC I built about 8 years ago and have only made minor upgrades to since. Running Windows 10 pro on that one (originally used home edition, big mistake. And that is why I only use LTSC now).

I need to get another cheap piece of shit laptop so I can try my hand at linux.
