There's not any one consensus on this website, as you'd know if you've been here long enough. We're a collection of freaks who band together moreso out of necessity than any common interests. I think there's one thing the whole site does have in common though, and it's not laughing at retards, or free speech, or whatever, but an interest in internet preservation. Almost completely on accident, Kiwifarms has become a sort of seedy library for the internet. We're no Internet Archive or anything like that, but because we try to archive fucking everything, we ended up preserving a good chunk of the internet. A lot of people say this is the last chunk of the old internet around and while I wasn't around for it to say whether or not I think that's true, it really is like being on a whole different Internet out here. Youtubers quietly come to us when they need clips or stories because we keep track of nearly everything notable on the internet, we aggregate and archive news media on the internet (I mean seriously, give the thunderdome shit all you want but over the years it's picked up hundreds if not thousands of articles you can pick through and read at your leisure, if you really wanted to.), and honestly I could go on about all the shit that goes down that Kiwifarms simply keeps track of. Retardation has left a huge footprint on the internet, and kiwifarmers are the enthusiasts keeping it alive. I just think that's neat.
