If I recall, he dressed more casually aside from a few clown shirts up until that point. I think at some point someone will tell him black is more slimming, so he will resort to doing that at some point.

Probably more like he did right before the Tom Girl thing. He just gets whatever is on sale at Goodwill. When we went there we tried to find the most "classic chris" shirt we could find. We couldn't find anything nearly as ugly as something he used to wear. I suspect that Chris and Barb literally bought out all the ugliest shit from that store til there was none left. Mostly what they had was a lot of t-shirts with lame references trying to be cool. Like the Mount and Dew Me shirt. So I suspect thats more the direction he would have gone.
