He does go to the doctor for things. So he'd find out pretty promptly what's going on and then curse Freaking Emmanuel God since that's his catch-all for when he has nobody to blame. Or blame the doctor for not being able to cure him.

Yeah I know he goes to a doctor, that's why I was asking, though him actually listening to the doctor is pretty selective. He was willing to take pills for cholesterol (Lipitor) and I think depression or something of the like (Paxil?) but on the flip side he was unwilling to improve his diet so he'd have less :briefs: but the doctor didn't tell him he was going to die from :briefs: so I wonder how he would react if the doctor said, you have diabetes, if you don't change your diet, you WILL die, or you have cancer, and if you do not do X, you WILL die. What I am wondering about is how he will respond to a real health-related danger to his life from an authority in that subject.
 
I actually have no idea how I'd react. You'd be amazed what kind of weird things can come through some law firms' doors. If he somehow got a job or had one of my boss' people on call, I'd immediately direct them to the cwcki and plead with them not to think less of me.

My boss does mortages for the local credit union, so we get a fair bit of white trash. (Avoid Wells Fargo, makes BoA look sane)
 
He doesn't want to die and isn't completely retarded, so I think he'd be good with meds or making a tiny effort, especially if it happens while Barb is still alive. I can't see him making big changes, but he does have survival instincts. Plus he'd enjoy the attention.

I think he'd do better with something like cancer than something like the dread diabeetus, though.
