They'd probably cut my internet down.

They'd also try to shelter me a bit in general so my pathetic antics wouldn't attract so much public attention and weenery.
 
My mother would guilt me into acting like I have a clue. She knows, and I know, that disabled doesn't necessarily mean retarded.

My dad would just be frustrated and rant and rave.
 
Hopefully love me. Annoying autistics still deserve to be loved by at least someone.

He can make up to $900/month and still keep the tugboat, IIRC. Edit: maybe $1,040/month?

If I ran a workshop for disabled people, sure, there are people far worse than him who can work and be productive. I know a job coach with Goodwill and she's had clients who have needed to be told to take a shower before coming to work and not to touch their coworkers, so people like Chris work all the time with some accommodations.

But he would have to work with only JERKS to avoid sexual harassment and do something simple like scanning documents or stuffing envelopes that he couldn't get into too much trouble doing.
 
They would monitor my internet use, and not let me post videos, not let me leave the house alone, try to teach me how to function, but if I acted like Chris 100% I wouldn't learn anything which is pretty sad. If my parents had Chris, they would Not let Chris (or me as Chris) play vidya like he does, and my younger brother would probably loathe having Chris as a brother. If I did what Chris did, they would have taken my internet freedom away after the Miyamoto scandal, and not have let things go further, like the Julaaaaay saga would have never happened if Barb and Bob, were replaced with my parents. Oh and if Chris was their son, he would not be allowed to eat as much junk as he does, he would be forced to eat *GASP real food. My mother would try to get Chris to read more, my parents are all for healthy eating, and reading. Even though I am fat and sometimes eat junk, I eat pretty healthy 90% of the time, and my mother got me into to habit of reading from an early age, so I think if my parents raised Chris from when he was a child, he would have turned out VERY differently.

No matter what, with the most cursory googling, nothing dealing with customers. Not face-to-face nor over the phone. Warehouse or night stocking only. If I took him on, I'd keep a close eye on him too, and while I'd probably give him extra leniency for mistakes (he is after all a Very Special Boy :stupid: ) I would have very little tolerance for bullshit and I'd make sure he knew it.

This is pretty reasonable to me. I'd be willing to give him a chance, watching him closely.
 
My parents would never, EVER have let me get away with the stuff Chris does. For one thing, very liberal household, and that racist and homophobic shit would never have been permitted. For another, drawing porn of people, threatening them...hell no. I would've been made to apologize continually and sincerely, and would have had my internet connection removed.

I could exploit a tax incentive to hire the disabled so it could be profitable. It could possibly be good PR that I'm hiring someone who's clearly challenged. But then it'd be the issue of if Chris would actually do work or at least any productive work.

Even if I don't Google Chris's name, I imagine he'd go into the interview with his tomgirl look and the fact he pads out his resume with stuff like being a comic book creator and that his last real job was over a decade ago and only lasted 2 or 3 months isn't promising.

This is why I really don't care if Chris gets a tugboat, because there's no way anyone will hire them unless they're extremely patient and generous. That's not to say I don't think Chris couldn't get a job, but he'd be extremely limited in his options that he's probably better off collecting disability.
 
You don't get to be like Chris without the kind of parental involvement he's had in his life.
Had I been born with autism to my parents I'm sure I'd be far more socially adjusted than Chris is.
On a purely hypothetical basis, I think that if I suddenly started acting like Chris tomorrow my parents would assume I'd had a breakdown and try to get me some professional help.
 
My parents would legitimately seek professional help. If that failed I'd be kicked out because normal parents dont coddle their kids.
 
By age 30, with no job and nothing to show for myself, I probobly would just be kicked out of the house.
