My favorite for this kind of thing is just cream cheese and sliced green olives.Very basic toasted bagels with cream cheese, capers, chives, and smoked salmon. You just can't beat it.
That sounds delicious!We did this last night! Except with a cioppino (China has just blocked import of lobsters from Aussie in their latest 'we're not mad at all about you calling for a Covid inquiry' trade spat, so they are dirt cheap at the moment).
I'd never thought two of us couldn't finish the whole pot, but I really did make enough for 4 lol. So I picked all the mussels out, chunked the remaining lobster tail and kept it all in the sauce with the prawns and squid. Tonight I'll gently re-heat and toss with fresh pasta.
Queens of double duty over here.
