I posted a fake story on /r/AmItheAsshole where I talked about being a part of a cult and was having a crisis of faith.

Quite a few people actually believed me before someone pointed out that my story was actually from the first Fallout game. Got banned after that.

It was a bittersweet feeling because it reminded me that despite Fallout being super popular, very few people actually played the first game.

My first and only ban from any site ever was at Reddit. I pissed off a bunch of people at r/fivenightsatfreddys by saying that MattPat's recent Game Theory Video (which at the time was part 3/the final part of the "who is the purple guy" video) was a complete let down because the ending fucking sucked (tl;dw "the purple guy was YOU ALL ALONG!!!"). 10-15 minutes of back-and-forth banter later, one of the mods banned me.

Backstory: Only reason why I even signed up for Reddit in the first place was because at the time Pokemon X and Y was the latest thing and during my search for any active Pokemon places other than like Serebii, I learned that Reddit had r/friendsafari or something similar so I joined just to chill there for a bit (for those of you that don't know, X/Y post game has a thing called friend safari, which depending on who your friend is on the 3ds, the set they have are either shit, or great (great, as in "1st evolution starters with their hidden ability" great). I decided to venture out to the other parts of Reddit, but I only lasted a year, as i got sick and tired of having my posts hidden/sunk at the bottom of the page because I was someone that had "wrong-think" or something.
