KiwiFarms will probably end up like Something Awful (hopefully not too identically) in the sense that the site started making fun of online shit, and moving on towards more of a myriad of discussions from the perspective of a niche community of the Internet. However, I don't think it'll ever have the respect from the masses in the way that SA did. But that's honestly why I respect the Farms more than a lot of other sites. KF fills a need on the Internet in similar ways to SA. Both had a more cynical take of online things, only now KF is still in that earlier stage where its not as popular to feel that way about it. Its nowhere near as elitist as SA, and is way more self-aware and still remembers how to have fun on the Internet. Which is why in spite of not being profitable in its current state, I think it'll stick around for as long as Null wants it to. And hopefully that's well after my lifetime.
