What exactly IS intelligent conversation? - Certainly not this

It's a way shallow empty dumb people try to look smart online instead of listing subjects they are versed or passionate about they pretend to be open towards all thing and the process of thought and debate when really they half skim a cliff notes and know 3 lines of Macbeth and claim they dig Shakespeare and own a copy of the White Album and claim music geek as well.

It's a catch all term for boring people to sound less boring.

As mentioned before real intelligent conversation can be anything, applied with thought. You can have a long serious talk about how star wars would work in a technical sense with what tech we have today, to what is the best 3rd baseman in baseball currently, or even how we have proof X system of government is the most beneficial to humanity.

If you are smart you can turn anything to a deep meaningful conversation, if you have to tell people you probably aren't smart.
 
A good rule of thumb to have is if that the conversation topic follows discussion on the Kiwi Farms that it isn't intelligent discussion.

Is talking about how tasty a certain flavor of ice cream really any less intelligent than talking about evolution, the nature of man, etc.?

I feel that any kind of topic can be interesting if looked at from the right angle.

I think intelligent conversation can be framed in one of two ways:

1) Conversation about academic or higher-thinking fields of study, or
2) A conversation about really anything that is in-depth, comprehensive, and showcases how much thought the participants are putting in as they trade ideas, sentiments, etc.
2.a) These conversations include knowledge that is not known by absolutely everyone. Talking about the weather as it is today is not intelligent conversation. Talking about the weather today and then going on to compare and trade your experiences of living through various storms or weather events in that particular place or time, perhaps trading tips on how to prepare for it, *is* intelligent conversation.
 
For myself and a fellow member of homo sapiens to engage in intelligent conversation, they must be my intellectual equal. Christians, feminists, ethnics and normies are instantly disqualified. It is also quintessential that the individual with whom I am conversing be familial with quantum physics such as Schrodinger's cat and Elon Musk, and also be versed in philosophy (I am willing to be fairly lax here, only expecting my conversational partner to be versed in Nietzsche and Jordan B. Peterson). Unfortunately the physical world is rather lacking in intellectuals whom can rival my genius, so I often find myself on Reddit, or 4chan's /a/ board. On these fora I can find the only people capable of stimulating conversation, such as which Hyperdimension Neptunia character is the most fuckable.
