Depends on the depth of the cut. Flesh wounds that slice through the skin length wise are surprisingly painful. Deep stabs hurt differently and are less painful initially but the after pain during recovery can be strange as the pain is unusual like a deep headache that's constant and if they cut muscle tissue or its sliced it can make recovery very painful as you have to remain immobile. The annoying thing about the flesh deep cuts that slice with a blade is that they tend to open up again easily over the years. The deep stabs heal with a nice thick scar tissue; but the shallow slicing ones I've got seem to have less scar tissue and the skin is thinner there and they can open up gain easily.
