i need a cheap CD player that i can use to rip and play on my laptop thoughts?

If you own an old PS1 like the one released in the 90's you could play CD's on it. Though you would need a display for it and something that still uses the old composite cables. From what I heard years ago is the PS1 was actually a pretty good music device, and it had excellent playback quality. Some people bought them just to play music on.

If ya just wanna rip cd's then any USB drive is fine.
For my hifi setup I use a bluray player as my CD player.
