What can I do to take back my attention span?

I've found that prayer helps to relieve my anxiety; I worship a living God in Christ, and he's a great listener as a friend.
Since converting I do feel better and more at peace, yes. Talking to Jesus regularly even with a casual conversation tone is another thing that is helping me unrot my brain.
Why is it always the book autists who always speak in bloated passive aggressive circles. Nobody respects you more for it, and you don't get a better grade.
I guess it's because of the book autism itself. I meant what I wrote in the OP literally, so everyone was correct taking it at face value.

We are meant to have a personal relationship with him; he wants us to acknowledge his constant presence with us so that he can be glorified in our actions. Don't stop talking to him, he will talk back, he usually tells me things I don't want to hear.
 
Go for a run, leaving your phone at home. You don't need music; listen to the world around you. Run at least 3 miles every day. If my 300+ lb. ass can do it yours can too.
 
Do you guys have this issue? Should I start with something on the lighter side then gradually move to proper thicker books? Even rereading LOTR feels impossible. I feel so ashamed that I allowed goyslop technology to get me to this point.
Find something you are actually interested in, and then use it as a foundation to build out your ability to pay attention to things you arent interested in (ie if i do X, i can then do Y that I actually care about)
