I'm in the same boat, this laptop is over half a decade old now and I don't think I'm getting a new one any time soon.

I don't think it can play current AAA games but I don't feel like buying one off of Steam to test it. I pretty much only buy PC games that are at least a decade old from thrift stores anyway, so not being even close to current AAA gaming system minimum requirements isn't that big of a deal for me.

Yeah that was me a some years ago, all I could play was TF2. This was before Valve got rid of custom servers so it was a real blast. How is Mac gaming these days?
Just as shit as ever. It’s funny that certain games like Alien Isolation and X-com are on the App Store because we know damn well that the MacBook is still ass at running optimized games.

Ryzen 3 1200
Asus RX 480 8GB
8GB RAM in dual channel

Wouldn't mind upgrading to an Nvidia but only if the 480 I got ends up dead later on. Wouldn't mind upgrading RAM though in the future once more games have 8GB as a minimum and 16 as the recommended.

old hp elite book, it's not as tough as the military ones but it's tougher than the average laptop, they use them at a lot of medical places
i7 2.7g, 16gigs of ram
got it cheap refurb and upgraded the ram

I have an old 3.20 GHz i5 with 16 GB of DDR3 RAM and 2 TB of HDD space and 256 GB of SSD space and no graphics card.

Being unable to run most modern AAA games doesn't bother me, since most AAA games released today are pure garbage.
