Just started a second playthrough of Wasteland 3. I'm doing a patriarch run this time. I'm a decent way into it and realized I don't have anyone with points in weird science. We'll see how this plays out.

Also replaying GTA 4 Complete Edition in chronological order the way GodBear intended.
 
i played dragon quest 11 like 2 years ago but didnt get far, only just got rab and jade as party members. replaying it from the start right now and exiting gallopolis and im really enjoying it, im not a fan of games set in a medieval times but I actually really enjoy it

also minecraft is pretty fun lol
 
Dead Cells, Shadow Tactics, Hitman 3, Oddworld Soulstorm, Control, and Rachet and Clank.

I'm also limping through my first Disco Elysium playthrough.

Including the DLC or just the base game?

I want to replay the Mass Effect trilogy but not sure whether it's worth it to get the new version or just use the 360 games I bought a decade ago.

In the meantime, I'm replaying The Simpsons Game. Not amazing, but enjoyable enough.

DLC... Dark Brotherhood, I did get the whole Vampire stuff done - had to because every time I fast travled back to Winterhold I would run into vampires right in front of my home. bleah

Anyway, which Simpsons game?
 
GR Wildlands. I like the setting, there's something comfy about it. I wish the convoy side-missions weren't such a pain in the ass in solo + AI squad though.

The 2007 one that was just called The Simpsons Game. It's kinda open world where you run around Springfield with superpowers and do missions related to the show. And you could play couch co op.
 
Not too long ago I beat Guardian's Crusade for the ps1.

Overall, pretty great game. While the game was pretty easy, heck probably the easiest JRPG I ever played, I can forgive that because it was actually designed to be an introductory RPG for kids, (kinda like Kirby with platformers) and it had a lot of charm and character to it. The climax of the game got me pretty emotional and hyped up throughout and the ending was really satisfying.

I guess one of the things I liked most was that throughout most of the story, you weren't really a big player in it, you keep running into these older and more experienced heroes who are doing things to move along the plot like finding the magical plot McGuffins used to seal the great evil, or the guy dedicated to hunting down the main antagonist in order to get revenge and turn his sister back to normal. So a lot of stuff is left up to the imagination while the focus is centered solely on you, Baby and Nihane's journey together. At least until about 3/4's of the way through the game.

Also, the music is friggen fantastic.

Is that even possible? I remember when it came out certain quests and questlines would just get borked and impossble to complete, even reloading earlier saves wouldn't help.

Maybe fan patches fixed a lot of that since.

I just finished up with Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and I am mad as hell with how badly Ubisoft fucked up the storytelling.

It’s such a bloated repetitive mess. Too many side quests felt the same, and few of the characters are memorable because most of them weren’t really developed in a meaningful way.

Even worse was the immersion breaking jump to the modern day story, largely because Layla Hassan is the worst character ever.

It is visually stunning, both the stealth and melee combat are actually pretty fun, and I kind of liked Kassandra as the protagonist. (I know the story is exactly the same if you choose to play as Alexios, but I couldn’t stand the voice acting for him.)

The potential for greatness is certainly there. If you could pair AC’s graphics and engine with the storytelling and world building genius of The Witcher 3, you’d pretty much have the perfect game. It’s shame because I really wanted to like it.
 
I finally got into Nintendo's Ring Fit Adventure on the Switch. I have a history with Pilates, and have been using the "Pilates Magic Circle" since 2007-ish, and I love those workouts ... So yeah, I decided to give Ring Fit Adventure a shot. Been playing once a day for the past two weeks.

This game is surprisingly no joke; it gives a good and well-balanced workout. It's not weightlifting or anything, but it's absolutely effective at making you do standard exercises correctly to keep in shape. It doesn't leave me out of breath, but it does make me work up a sweat. I'm enjoying it!

I've also been playing through the Miles Morales game on the PS4. So far, it's fun, but some of the writing is a wee bit cringe. When the pigeon stuff happened, I was like, "Wait ... They're actually serious with this?" lol. It's fun, though ... But it's no Spider-Man PS4.
 
Ubisoft in the 90s made two weird adventure/multi-genre games about some weird alien planet that had a native monkey-looking population that was literally black people in spirit. Game had interesting visuals and I'll never forget the uniqueness to the point that I always think of it when I hear "Ubisoft". (also weird copy protection, had to plug in a hardware dongle into your parallel port for it to run)

Anyways, in my current quest to revisit old RPGs I'm playing Ultima Underworld 2 and it's still a fun game. Some of the other games were decidedly less so. (Kind of forgot what a terrible slog some old RPGs were)
 
I'm playing Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, but I'm really close to rage quitting because I'm on the second boss and I just cannot make any progress. The controls are janky but I've played enough older games where I can get used to it and forgive it but what I cannot forgive is whoever thought it would be a good idea to make the camera FIXED in boss battles!!!
What the fuck man, this completely fucks me up, I often lose sight of my character when he gets force pushed into a corner with rubble, lose sight of the boss who is skinny and tiny, lock on to random objects rather than the enemy and so on...
