I dropped Enter the Gungeon to play... Fallout 4. Just started with the Nuka-World DLC. Man, I really want this game to be good but the writing and quests are SO bad. I don't know why I do this to myself.
I enjoyed Arms quite a lot. It's a great party game. There's a couple of frustrating tactics that some people spam in the online, but generally careful maneuvering and controlling your punches gets you a lot further than spastic flailing. Shame the online is paid now, the party events are a blast. Feels a lot like Smash Bros with characters that control pretty much the same, but all have quirks that you have to strategize around.
I've been hopping around between Earthbound and Skies of Arcadia. Both are good and somewhat nostalgic. I guess summer is perfect for the nostalgia feels
Colony wars for the PSX, found strange that in the first game you are fighting the Earth Empire then in the second you are the survivors of the empire fighting against the league that defeated them
So I highly recommend Cultist Simulator. It's a card based game where you're trying to build a cult from the ground up done by Alexis Kennedy, who founded Failbetter Games; makers of Fallen London, Sunless Seas, and Sunless Skies all of which I also recommended if you're into story based games.
I'd forgot I bought Cultist Sim, saw it in my librsry, amd just sat down to check it out. Didn't get up for 2 1/2 hours, it's got that pull to make you want to learn how it works. It's available on Steam if you're interested and it might be available elsewhere, I'm not sure.
Moving on from Oracle of Ages and going to take a step back into Link's Awakening for the GameBoy Colour.
I should replay Ages at some point because they have all this extra tie-in stuff if you play it and Seasons together.
Ages was sweet, but not the one with the awesome cape. In this one I think they added a special dungeon with a blue or red tunic.
Still hard on carts..I really need to get a TV so I can play a console.
Yakuza 0 on PC - a beat 'em up game pretending to be a GTA-style game.
Good game, but buggy as shit - I especially hate the random freezes and inventory items glitching out of existence.
Finally bit the bullet and invested in a Nintendo Switch so I could play Let's Go Eevee. I love it so far, and I'm saying this as someone who has been a hardcore fan since the beginning. I know it's been controversial among longtime fans because it dumbs down a lot of the gameplay we're familiar with and utilizes Pokemon Go catch mechanics, but I still love it. And besides, we're getting a proper Gen VIII game next year so that's enough to tide me over.
Some people at my school talked alot about Inuyasha and I thought they were talking about this. They got pretty upset when they arrived and didn't get their shit.
