I'm told that if you love the 18, you'll really like the 12.
Later this year, I'm going on a tasting trip w/ a friend to explore whiskeys. I'm not sure I like whiskey, so we're bringing all the bottles out.

If anyone has any recommendations, let me know. I love smokey stuff, but really do not like the harshness of most whiskeys. Unfortunately, to get a lot of smoke you, usually, have to be a pretty young whiskey. I'm told the Caol Ila 18 fits the bill.

I love mezcal for reference.

Bought a bottle of cheap spanish red at Whole Foods. The one they sell for $7.99 is fine as a cheap nightly drinker. Nice and dry, no sickening sweet aftertaste like on domestic wines in that price point.

Gonna see how far I can get in Enshrouded and the bottle after work.

Im usually a Bombay Sapphire or Citadelle person when it comes to gin but I was gifted a bottle of Empress 1908 recently. I gotta say, its the prettiest shade of blue purple I have ever seen. Nice floral flavor with bright citrus notes and subtle earthy undertones. For reference my go-to drink is Macallan 12 on the rocks.
