What are asexuals sexually attracted to?

Do they touch grass getting frisky with the lawn, hug trees, or maybe they find airplanes and pooltoys hot?
Or are they just closeted homosexuals?

Chances are she wasn't really asexual.
No true scotsman.

I have met three people (non-hypothetical) who identified as asexual.

1. An autist with no interest in sex but was still dating a guy and had sex with him from time to time to maintain the relationship.
2. Someone from a horny culture who didn't want to have sex outside of a committed relationship. Kissing was fine though. This is the left-wing version of waiting until marriage (but it's a sexuality guys I'm not oppressed by men/slut shaming you folx).
3. An autist with low interest in irl sex and low sex drive but hornyposts online a heck of a lot. Not sure what to learn from this one.

Asexuality is a spectrum these days, and if they aren't totally neutral then they are called "gray asexuals".

It's not really a true scotsman, it's just an educated guess based on how many confused people and LARPers there are, and also, how (arguably) she apparently barely qualifies.

I've said this elsewhere, but I'm aware of the fact of actual asexuals having sex with their partners just to please them and maintain the relationship, which might be the case for your #1.

#2 doesn't sound asexual, just someone with certain values (no sex outside marriage/commited relationship), like on that premise alone, that has nothing to do with asexuality.
Just on that I'd be the same, I reserve such intimacy with someone who in theory would be with me for the rest of their lives, casual stuff has no meaning to me.

#3 just sounds like like a low testosterone, probably not-in-shape guy who in the right circumstance would very willingly engage, but IRL just resigns himself to online hornyposting. Nothing really asexual here, low libido that I bet would mitigate if he had a better diet and did some exercise (it can help for sure).

But then you introduce the idea that asexuality is on a spectrum, which is fine, but people get too carried away and assign barely qualifiable scenarios on one end of it, which at that point is nonsense to me. Like the guy I was replying to in this thread, maybe that girl was a self-proclaimed "asexual", and some people would agree, but how are you going to take seriously that notion, while she voluntarily engaged in sexual activity just because the guy was hot?

If you're telling me this is within this magical asexual-spectrum, I cannot take it seriously; by that point you may claim to be one the previous Sunday, because you were not feeling too good.

I’m pretty sure people who call themselves “asexuals” are just people with lower-than-expected libido. Since libido fluctuates throughout every person’s lifetime for a plethora of reasons, it makes sense that someone who typically feels no desire for sex will occasionally have an unusual spike in sexual desire.

The “asexual” label purely exists because our modern culture has brainwashed most people into believing that sex is vitally important, and everyone is therefore encouraged to adopt "[fill-in-the-blank]sexual" as part of their personal identity. People who publicly adopt the label of "asexual" either want to advertise that they are not as interested in sex as they are told that they ought to be, or else want to claim a sort of purity that comes from being free from filthy sexual desire.

Unfortunately for these people, when other people hear any sort of announcement of sexuality, it makes them think of sex. (It's like telling people "I'm on a diet" apropos of nothing and then expecting them not to immediately think about food.) So, telling people that you're "asexual" will actually encourage them to think of sex when talking to you. As a result, self-proclaimed asexuals encounter more sexual conversations that they would if they never told anyone that they were asexual, which reinforces their belief that everyone else desires sex more than they do. That's why they feel so certain that they're asexuals.

If you don't desire sex, my advice is to stop talking about it and thinking about it (e.g., don't self-identify as asexual), and you'll be surprised at how quickly it stops being important to you. Also, stop hanging around places where brainwashed people talk about sex all the time, such as the Q&A section of the Kiwi Farms. Soon enough, you'll stop being bothered by people making fun of "your" sexuality.

Touch grass, get frisky with the lawn, hug trees, take a non-sexual interest in things like airplanes or pool toys, which matter more to any healthy-minded person's day-to-day life than sex does. You don't need to be an "asexual" nor any other kind of "-sexual." Just be a person.

I mean, it's the letter A. a-sexual. It's right there, come on man, use your thinking cap.
(For a real answer, I think most of them are in reality completely straight but are more focused on enjoying their hobbies than enjoying women IRL or on a screen, at least in part due to a bit lower testosterone. Which is fine, I'm honestly one of those people too, but I don't see myself as 'asexual' like that)

From what I've heard from people who profess to be asexual, often their attraction seems to be focused around some kind of emotional or sensual experience, or the idea of one. For example, I once knew of an asexual couple who would express their love for one another by sharing relaxing baths together.
That’s highly peculiar
