Ethnically Thai but raised in California.

Also, modern Disney will never dear to mention Jesus in Christmas specials. It all has to be secular. They will go all out whenever Hannukah is mentioned though.
Reminds me of The Ghost and Molly McGee which had both. The Hannukah special went all out about Molly learning about Judaism and their oppression and stuff from her Jewish friend. Said Jewish friend didn't even show up in the Christmas special which didn't touch on the religious aspects at all.

Weird how that's also with a Thai main lead.

Hell, I remember Rugrats having a Hanukkah special that went really into the story of the menorah burning for 7 days. Maybe it's like Veggietales, everyone sticks to the old testament because they don't want to misportray Jesus?
Not to mention there's already a "market-approved" Christmas aesthetic for cartoons. You can risk offending half the world by portraying their lord and savior's birth, OR, you can stick a pine tree and string lights in the background and call it a day.
I do vaguely remember the Ed, Edd, n Eddy Christmas episode had a kind of nativity theme to it, though, even if it didn't mention the lord Himself. Throughout all the holiday mischief, Double Dee ended up as an angel in a tree, Eddy was stuck in a crib, and the Kanker sisters had paper crowns from party poppers and brought the Eds gifts of mold, franks and cents, and fur.
The only people they are afraid to offend are the Jews and Muslims. One will blow up their paychecks and the other will just blow them up.

I'm not even gonna pretend to be shocked about that one
besides, after finding out his mom was wearing makeup the franchise has been dead to me
Yup looks like I ended up eating my words. Though I DID say a lot can change in a week.

Not to mention this is a screen cap from Twitter a site that in theory isn't supposed to have kids on it. But again, over on YouTube? Nothing ,not even a video like "lgbtq moments in classic cartoon network shows" and because all of cartoon networks YouTube channels are flagged as "kids YouTube channels" they have no community posts to share stuff like this too.

My take is cartoon network puts crap like "happy pride from gumball" on social media cause it's where their overgrown kidult audience who screeches "muh representation " resides. While sites like YouTube kids has all the "teen titans go funniest momments 9 hour compilation " so iPad kids can be babysat by their tablets for a few hours without attracting ire of their parents the way that kinda stuff did when it WAS regularly on YouTube a few years ago.

Basically cn "has its cake and eats it too."

Where's my sloppa, piggy needs his sloppa.

Every time I think about how I want to see another season of Total Drama, I have to remind myself that Terry McGurrin runs the show. Just glancing at his X profile should be enough to see what I mean. The dude is almost sixty and is obsessed with gay/troon teenagers and most likely groomed or his tranny kid.

Does he still have rabid TDS, like how most Canadians do? He was seething like mad during Trump's 1st term, but I don't know if he's doing the same with his 2nd.

He absolutely still does, yes.

Also his main weird current obsession is MK and Julia from the Total Drama reboot being lesbians. They clearly were never meant to be seen that way, but 5% of the fandom ships them so now he never shuts the fuck up about it.

and of course they released the first episode free
https://youtube.com/watch?v=gDq4g_jzmGgof course even the first episode name is already a problem with this show.
Of course. Who's going to go out of their way to watch fucking among us six years after it became popular? I mean it's really only ever been funny in a post-meta-ironic sort of way

Directed by the guy who made Infinity Train, and wrote for Regular Show... surprisingly not bad if you could believe it. Though I think it would have been a hell of a lot funnier if it took itself way too seriously but occasionally dropped stupid shit like this, completely in earnest
