Yknow it's a shame the lOony tunes are dead as a brand but at the same time kinda funny how the one people keeping it alive - nostalgic boomers - swore it off because the creators had to virtue signal about giving him a scythe instead. even trying to say "you're just mad that fudd doesnt validate your ownership of guns as if fudd is some sort of sigma male. fuckin moronic, im on john k respecter's side: getting shot in the face for five minutes is the funniest concept ever for a cartoon and will never get old

What's really unpleasant and disheartening about the Looney Toons is that really, WB has never really known what to do with them. Looney Tunes were kept alive on TV reruns for decades, even in the American animation wasteland era of the 1970s and 1980s the originals were still shown regularly - but when the 1990s came how did WB capitalize on the long-time popularity and recognizability of the "franchise" in the wake of a renewed interest in animation in America? A "Looney Tunes Kids" show and tons of junk merchandise.

WB making the licensing fee for the LT shorts so expensive even CN won't pay for it is just a typical case of corporate greed where the greedy party shoots themselves in the foot. Like an eBay seller sitting on an unsold listing for years refusing to drop the price because "I know what I got!"

As stupid as it sounds, at least Harry Warner wanted to make money with their version of Mickey Mouse. Once the Warners left/died, whoever took charge clearly didn't have faith in the animation department.

I didn't think was possible to top deathstroke tossing away his guns all cause of that gay club in Orlando getting shot up but congratu-fucking-lations Warner bros. I'm sure THAT and Elmer being a pussy whipped no guns welding simp will stop every (insert choice of mass shooter here)


Edit: and no the deathstroke thing wasn't a permanent character change at least. But it was still stupid, he's frigging slade "the terminator/deathstroke" Wilson for those only familar with him via teen titans tas the guys a merciless gun for hire, who unlike dead shot doesnt have the morality pet of a daughterto restrain him with. Comic companies really shouldn't try to virtue signal with people like him feeling sad over a tragedy.

I know this is suposed to be a joke but good Lord does it feel like someone was way to horny when designing the new models.

Same thing with Zootopia where there is a whole segment where they go to a nudist resort and we get a few minutes of 'ass in your face' jokes.
Hence why many people in the know separate anthro art and furry.
 
I just got out of the theater.

The Looney Tunes movie is legitimately good. Kind of surreal to see a full 2D movie on the big screen again. The best gags were mostly in the beginning, including one that I’d cringe at if not for the punchline. While it felt kind of tedious after the middle, despite its short runtime the foreshadowing was pretty subtle and the twists landed pretty well. Even the post-credits scene was a good one that put me off guard. In fact, one of the best parts was the credits. They were filled with neat concept art for the characters.

Overall, it’s a treat. While it’s not perfect I’d still recommend it.

Also I was the only one there, but it’s also late at night in awful weather.

Edit: they’re looking to sell the brand.

I sincerely hope it’s Ketchup Entertainment because they’re doing good work with it. They genuinely care. They wouldn’t be trying so hard to put Coyote out if they didn’t.

Edit: Looney Tunes was initially going to be out for a week, but is now running through this coming weekend. It's still a limited release window so go see it if possible.

Does it's own rule 34! I saw the movie it was meh at best, the comedy was trying too hard. The Looney Tunes Show in the 2010's was better than this and also the original Space Jam.

Kinda but the humor wasn't what I really liked about the movie anyway. It was fine, bit try hard at times and some jokes really didn't land, but what I really liked the story and characters. It was so much fun to watch two working lads getting involved with a galactic mystery and a dangerous mission to save the earth from doom. Plus some light romance and a good twist.
 
The one bit of bts trivia around drawn together (assuming it's true)) that will forever amuse me, is how one reason the quality dropped majorly in season 3 and why there was a delay in episodes, one so big they requested a "mid season break" that lasted almost a year. Is the people behind the show where too busy playing halo 2 on Xbox. They even did so while on double hemm and comedy central's time and dime.


Say what you want about trey and matt and whether or not south park's gone downhill in recent times, but even though they too were also avid gamers when their show was in production. (just look at the war craft and wii episodes of south park) They still managed to have episodes on time and on budget and well written during south park's heyday.
