Ai is a fun toy and good for a content farms but it can't be taken seriously, the negative reaction to it is too strong and aside from ignorant people believing the hype it doesn't have much cultural hold.
It's also a marketing stunt that's a bubble on the verge of popping already.


TLDR, it's a nothing burger with bullshit fries and a hypeshake
 
Watched new Transformers movie a few days ago. 7/10, needed Linkin Park during credits. I feel like it's one of those movies that you enjoy more, if you are more familiar with the lore. At least it's the impression that I have while scrolling through social media. Maybe you have different opinion on this topic idk.
The best thing about this movie without discussion are the looks and the scenery. There is especially one sexuence with the sun that's really beautiful. I had more ''wow'' moments with the graphic aspects than in the Inside Out 2. The plot is nothing new, it's your ''you lied to us'' movie with betrayal, but probably everyone could guess the second one, so it's hardly a spoiler. Really liked the main duo and their chemistry, didn't really give a fuck about Scarlett Johansson police lady or that comic relief character.

And you know what? It fucking deserves it. Just got back from seeing it. Dreamworks' best film ever? No, Prince of Egypt is more timeless. But I am happy to report that it is a very close second, and certainly Chris Sanders' magnum opus. It's a mixture between Iron Giant, Brother Bear, and WALL-E, but it unashamedly feels like its own unique beast (no pun intended). Dialogue is natural and timeless, there are actually quite a few dark moments, and the visuals, sweet tap dancing Christ, the visuals are pure eye sex. 9/10. Dead fucking serious.

A bear chases the characters through a few scenes and characters actually die. If it means anything there were kids around that age in the theater, and it didn't seem to bother them much (they were entranced).

Just saw it, can confirm. The animations feel very natural, especially for Fink- you can tell they really studied foxes and their body language. You can see the early film influences in earlier scenes and comic book influences in later ones. Basically in the first half, they relied a lot on framing. In the later half, a lot of scenes occurred at night, so they used strong colors more often, along with various tracking and other shots. There are exemptions for both, but after the migration, you can definitely see the shift.

Also early parts, where Roz first walked around the woods, reminded me of Overwatch’s Bastion shorts. There’s a good blend of showing and telling. Characters tell each other things when it’s appropriate and you can gleam from the context how they would know certain things. I can’t say too much about the characters since their behavior and developments are believable. The dialogue did get tiresome near the end, though that’s more personal preference than anything the writers were doing.

For the interested and curious, I’ll once again be putting some original Billy & Mandy and Evil Con Carne production artwork on eBay– probably the last of it! Starting this coming weekend (the 28th or 29th), I’ll first be posting auctions for some non-B&M stuff, like Dead Meat props and collectibles from other animated shows I didn’t work on. Then it’s on to the Grimmiverse. The goal is to drum up enough money to cover my mortgage for a few months while I try to outlast the studio drought.

It’s been… a year. I lost my job to studio cuts (but am still cool enough to get scraped by MidJourney), had a flood requiring expensive repairs, some cat emergencies, a small fire, and a dash of skin cancer. It’s all been a bit excessive, if you ask me. I’m not a person who spends much, but this has definitely been one of the more expensive years of my life. And all without an income! It’s amazing how fast things start to come apart when there’s no money holding it together.

Anyway, this is probably your best (and maybe final?) shot at getting your hands on some Billy & Mandy production artwork, some other original hand-drawn animation art, some fun cartoon collectibles, a few hand-crafter post apocalyptic movie props, and SUNDRIES!

How long can Disney milk a franchise nobody wants anymore? The only reason the simpsons still seems to stay alive in its zombie state it by either memes, or animation spergs on youtube making videos on it. Nobody likes the made for Disney plus shorts and have rightfully called them out as self fellating garbage by the mouse. The new seasons have done better rating and even audience wise but there's still that vocal minority who just want it to die already.


Word has spread that there isn't a new season renewal now that the Disney extension of the series back when they first bought fox has run out, but they're also saying they plan on keeping the show alive through more plus shorts and possibly a season exclusively made FOR Disney plus.
