Speaking of pronunciation complaints, I was disappointed with him saying Wah-Ke$ha. Walk-uh-shaw is just a super fun word to say and I don't think Meat would have been able to resist saying it in his closet-case-Sunday-school-teacher-Wendi voice when he thought Wendi pronounced it wrong

I didn't like the Slenderman episode. There were some funny jokes, but if they were going to go down the route of monetizing true crime they should have gone all the way and gotten the survivor on the podcast and make horse girl jokes while she was on set.

Go the extra miles guys. Go the between two ferns route and ask the most awkward questions you can think of.

Go the Crackets route and ask her if she's watched Redo of Healer (you know Nik, Meat's editor, probably has).

The real pressing question is "Balls or no balls?"

New Creep Cast, short stories in the basement of the haunted house they were at a few episodes ago.

The continuity of what the Taco Bell is doing to Hunter’s insides is thrilling.
Hunter growing increasingly terrified in the first half of the episode was great. You can tell he wasn't really acting up for once, and was generally spooked by the basement hole.

Pretty solid grab bag. Last story was really sad, but still creepy.

Why don't the prisoners try to escape? Are they stupid? I've seen supposedly true stories of guys breaking out of prison with far more security. But by the way the narrator described it, it just reminded me of this meme.

Then again the ending sounds like one of those gay metaphors for prison reform or somesuch

That was a banger of the episode. Good grab bag of stories that didn't outstay their welcome and Hunter setting the mood by actually being freaked out was fun.

My only criticism of the Prison story was it should have ended with the MC getting out just in time rather than staring into the eyes of a demon while starving for 11 days.

Here is a comment from an old creepcast that I found really fucking funny.

Wendigoon who can barely read on a highschoolers level has a littearly background. :story: If a theme isn't regurigated to him by someone on reddit he will miss it and invent one out of thin air. Hunter is usually the one to pick up on the underlaying message it's just that he has such a short attention span that anyting that isn't imieideatly intresssting he will not care about.

I get the impression that Meat might be the more well read one. Like I don't doubt Wendi has read more books and read or watch a lot of opinions about those books. But he treats it like a checklist. Like beating dark souls just so you can say you beat it to other people online, Wendi just goes though the Reddit top 10 just so he can say he read it. Him rereading The Road is a perfect example of this, he says he is rereading it with the new found perspective of fatherhood. But Tonka is still getting used to breathing air when he started rereading it, Wendi is not engaging with the book with his own experiences bringing up a good kid in a crazy world, answering hard questions about morality and explaining to them why bad people exist and bad things happen. He just wanted the checkmark of reading the book as a dad so he did it as soon as he physically could and doesn't actually take much away from the book. Meanwhile, Meat probably just causally reads shit that catches his interest and either engages with the book on it's level or drops it because he is not impressing anybody.
