Whenever I fly in dreams, I usually can't go much faster than running, and I can't go much higher than 2 or 3 stories. This "height limit" is often "enforced" by endless power lines or tree branches. If I try to break those limits, the dream can "break down" somehow.

If I try to break those limits, the dream can "break down" somehow. I figure I lack experience with flight IRL, so my brain doesn't want to deal with simulating beyond the familiar. It would also explain why it seems my dreams are always set in a mundane contemporary setting. Anyone else deal with this crap?
