The most clear cut reason is probably because AoS just isnt as big as 40k. A more nuanced answer is that since they slashed stock send outs to LGS, they are probably sitting on a huge pile of them in their own warehouse to get their full pound of money. I would also suspect that they are still in fact producing them as we speak.
GW sent them a list of how much dominion they were getting. Then later sent an email saying "yea only half of that, you'll get the rest in July"

Nah. I'm waiting to see if that plastic Heresy box is really a thing, plus I'm holding out for the updated Idoneth battletome. Shark-riding Cthulhu elves are the only AOS army I've ever really been interested in.

Turns out the buddy in that picture ordered too many and there wasnt enough interest. When I went into the store to preorder my Dominion the line was 9 people, which I didn't think was 2 bad actually. But buddy wanted to sell 8 grand worth.
He apparently sold them all at that discount, so he managed it. 15% is a pretty big cut, seeing how iirc LGS' get 40% off GW merch.
£85 isn’t a bad price for the starter set.
