wop wop woooooopThey already expended their once a generation allotment of plot advancement sadly.
Kitbash some Tempestus and Empire troops to make a house guard.I've build every chassis of imperial knights and now I feel empty.
I've had GG on my list but still haven't gotten around to it. It's one of the few series that I haven't heard anything bad about.Wish me luck tomorrow trying to order the sabbat worlds lore book. Say what you will but Gaunt's Ghosts is a foundational black library series and I hope I can finally get my hands on this without outrageous scalper prices.
I'm upset we never got the fuck-huge power axe from the Secret Level episode.-Absolver Bolt Pistol and a one handed Thunder Hammer(so a power maul/Crozius) are gonna be the new weapons coming. Which narrows down the new class to either apothecary or chaplain, but they also tried to tease a 3rd option but these are the only two that use the Absolver. They were gonna do a greatsword but did this instead. Teased the GS could still happen.
Gav Thorpe finally moved on ? That's good news.Supposedly Eldar have been under the thumb of a specific BL/Codex author for a long time, who has now moved on to work on Konflikt'47, meaning his keeping the Eldar in lore stasis is over. But I don't know how true that is.
GW just don't know wtf the want to do with the Eldar. The ynnari stuff isn't dumb on paper but if the biggest development from that was Gullyman getting back into the setting and bagging a hot Eldar GF than what else is there to say. The biggest winner from a supposedly big Eldar plot development were the SM. Much surprise, pls paint your Armageddon boxes with Ultramarines.man, i can't wait to hear about what the ynnari will do now

a key aspect of the setting for a surprise splinter group for a race i'm not even sure fans of that race liked
Because they went backwards for some reason with dawn of fire taking place before dark imperium, so rather than show what Guilliman has been up to after dark imperium, we just have him getting his ass kicked and running away from necrons to cap off a 9 book series. I'm sure they'll do something with The Lion again in this edition when the DA codex comes out or something, assuming they don't distract themselves with another loyalist primarch popping up out of the blue.Guilliman still hasn't reunited with the Lion.
When he got summoned to the imperium sanctus side of the great rift in Archmagos(November? so not that long ago, but he just kinda showed up, got angry about an army of soul eaters getting their asses kicked, and then left after making some deal with an IW warsmith), away from whatever he was up to in imperium nihilus. I don't know if this happens before or after the wyrmwood thing re-creating caliban. When was the last time anyone's seen Vashtorr?
He went back to sleep and said "Wake me up later", after the series had been cancelled before the 3rd book came out.The Eldar supposedly have a new God that can save their race and defeat Slaanesh, and they've done nothing.
Warhammer basically didn't progress for the first 15 years I was into it and it was so much better for it imo. They randomly introduced the Tau shortly after I got into it and they just refused to elaborate, it was just some new threat from the Eastern Fringe and that's all you needed to know and people were happy. It's more of the same except they're trying to make it into some gay marvel universe shit.I'm getting tired of all these major plot lines that get cooked up and go absolutely no where. Guilliman still hasn't reunited with the Lion. When was the last time anyone's seen Vashtorr? The Eldar supposedly have a new God that can save their race and defeat Slaanesh, and they've done nothing. I get that the setting can't actually end, and I don't expect it to, but if you're going to tell a story there has to be at least some conclusion to the plot.
I love Army Painter Speedpaint 2.0. Going to use them to paint my Boyz. Getting back into 40K..Painted 23 out of 58 ork models within the span of 3 hours thank God for speed paints.

A good book can start a lifetime of autismI'm new to Warhammer and while I was never much of a TTRPG guy I've always loved reading and the whole grimdark style worldbuilding has been quite intriguing to me, however there are so many books and I'm unsure where to really start. What would any of you recommend to a total beginner?
I've tried it out, its an alright skirmish game if you're playing with friends and just wanting to have fun. Pretty straightforward mechanics and it's fun to build a gang with individual members that you can tweak and play around with. You can do some really silly shit; I did a bunch of Ogryn with grappling hooks and it was hilarious. You can have cool moments that feel more character driven and its great for a narrative campaign; epic showdowns between leaders on catwalks, deals made in game because both gangs are weakened and neither wants to lose characters, little dinguses getting their time to shine, etc. It can be really interesting to incorporate it into a wider campaign/world.Has anyone here played Necromunda before? If so what did you think of it?
