Just finished the audiobook for Titanicus. Its more of a collection of stories running parallel about what its like to be a titan's princeps, its crew, how the wider Imperium sees them, and how the higher echelons see them. It was kind of a mess, tbh, some of the stories felt disjointed/not well thought out. Perhaps thats a product of being written much earlier in Dan Abnett's career (2008, 18 years ago).
overall it was a fun experience. The combat was solid. If you're into titans then it does a good job of showing you top to bottom about them. It definitely felt like a labor of love, the Titans are well described and interesting.
If you want something substantial about Archenemy Titans, go elsewhere. Theyre in the book, and you get a few hints of their tactics and how they differ slightly from Imperial Titans, but thats it.
Also fuck the mechanicus. Theyre retards. Every time I read a book with Mechanicus elements in it my opinion of them grows worse. The Imperium arent Skaven, the cogboys are.
