My Made-to-Order Sister Tariana Palos took four months from order to delivery, and that was only one model. Its barely been two months for Indomitus. Be patient.

Same. I ordered all three of the limited models. Lieutenant Amulius went up for preorder in April, and I didn't get him until late last month. The Librarian termie and Sister Palos actually arrived before he did.

On a different note, with people talking about AoS, one of the things I like about it is the variety of armies that you can make. Fantasy was restrictive in terms of how much of a unit type you could take. In AoS, you do need a certain number of Leaders and Battleline units, but the units considered battleline can change by taking certain heroes and sub-factions.

For instance, every non hero Flesh-Eaters Courts units can become battleline through one option or another. This includes the giant undead bats and dragons.

Pretty much every chaos book is at least two armies in one; mortal and daemon. And those armies can mix with themselves, beastmen, and sometimes skaven.

This method of army building allows players to truly make “your dudes”.

Fantasy also stretched a lot of things to explain why certain factions are fighting. As much as I dislike the realm idea its a good thing to show why Lizard men are suddenly fighting Orcs and various other races. I think most of the love from Fantasy comes from the RPG since its a damn good one I never liked the table top game. I felt like people wanted to play a fantasy game but still wanted realistic mechanics. Even as a young in when I was lucky to live near a battle bunker I rarely ever saw Fantasy there was a community but it always seemed like people played 40k.

Whilst I like some of the new models, factions and aesthetics of AoS, the problem is that it resembles more of an edgier Warcraft now. It's more cartoony and less gothic, and frankly does not feel as sinister (or cynical) as original Fantasy. Total WaWa did a fantastic job of bringing that darker world to life, and AoS just doesn't implicate that same amount of carnage and suffering. Soul Wars was a decent first-step to making it more likable, but it needs more adjustments.

40K still captures the essence of massive armies crashing against each other to determine victory. I feel like the AoS battles I've seen all revolve around what amounts to little more than a skirmish nowadays. No Armaggeddon-type conflicts to be seen.

Leadbelcher makes an excellent overall basecoat for Necrons. My FLGS didn't have any left when I ran out, though, so my arks are getting a basecoat of Mechanicum Gray and I'll hope it doesn't look TOO dissimilar.

I thought Chaos Warriors were the Space marine stand-ins for Fantasy? Though I know what you mean however Stormcasts Eternals themselves are turning cynical as the more they die the more they lose themselves. I see you mention Soul Wars thats the book that converted me on AoS too I swear Josh Reynolds carried AoS lore on his fuckin back. AoS also has Armageddon rules but I never seen a match of it I know the battletomes have special 2k+ point battalions that are used though.

I really like the new Coalesced Serap...er, Lizardmen. I've never played with my scalies but if I did, I'd run them as Coalesced (even though they're generally not as good) I really like the idea of them turning bits of the Realms into new Lustrias, almost like it's some kind of genetic memory expressing itself.

Same for me except I got into it just as the End Times started. I finally decided to buy the Bretonnian army box, then next thing I knew they nuked Fantasy & that's left a sour taste for me since.

Gonna have to read Soul Wars & see if it does anything for me.

I recommend an iwata neo for first time airbrush. Also when you get a compressor, don't go cheap. Get something with a tank rather then just a compressor.

How loud are airbrushes, and how much do I need to worry about fumes and the like? I'm in an apartment with probably criminal airflow, so noise, fumes, and dying the wall Khorne Red are all concerns.
