Some of their point decisions are weird. Beast Snaga Boyz are 90 points for 10 but for 20 its 170? In 10th edition they were 105 for 10 and then 210 for 20 which at least made sense. Normal Boyz are 75 for 10 and 150 for 20.

Hell, even the fact that the Emprah successfully negotiated the AM into joining the Imperium was retconned into being forced by gunpoint, because we can't have a "good" Emprah, not even when he was walking around.
This app is such dogshit. It's been how many years and they still wont fix basic functionality. Why does it let you take 99 close combat weapons? Why do I have three different wargear boxes when setting up crisis suits for the same weapons? Why do I still have to select auto-include wargear that literally costs nothing and replaces nothing? Why does the war journal let me pick dispositions that my detachment can't take? Why does it let me generate 10 command points each round? Why can't I edit a battle after it started if I accidentally pick the wrong option? Are brits really this incompetent or is this the pinnacle of jeet coding?

They are trying to softly push you into their preferred unit size. If a unit is effectively cheaper or atleast not more expensive to run doubled up, they want you to double it up. And vice versa. Just like how now bringing units past an initial amount is more expensive

Honestly based on the stores near me you probably don't even have to worry about not being able to get one for a while. The game stores in my area got hundreds of the things, and these are some small stores that aren't going to sell out of those anytime soon like at all.

But Khan hits back so disproportionately hard it's difficult for me to see it as anything other than an over reaction. I mean the dude and his legion very much earned their reputation as aloof barbarians who'd rather be back home than doing literally anything regarding the Crusade. That's not exactly true, but they didn't do themselves any favors.

That actually does make sense, and other games do it as well. The simple reality is that a half size unit and a full size unit don't necessarily have the same value per model in the unit depending on how it gets used, and it could go either way really. It's also not new, they were doing that in 10th.
T'au point decreases are only if you are taking the shit weapons no one uses. Starscythes with flamers are 120 points, which is a 10pt increase from 10th. Strike teams were already 70pts which isn't bad, but they are still a bad unit. The only advantage Strike Teams have is being cheap. I don't know if suppression volley will be even stronger now that cover reduces BS, which would make their target shoot at -2. A unit of Kroot are even cheaper and at least they give sticky objectives.
Maybe by 12th edition we'll finally return to a full points system. But it seems that GW still doesn't understand that a good datasheet will always be good, and a bad datasheet will always be bad. As much as I want to love burst cannons, if the only advantage is +1 S (which I can get on my flamers other ways), and a little bit of range I can't think of any reason why I wouldn't pay the tax every time. First we limit armies to no more than 3 of a unit, now you're punished if you take a 3rd unit. You're punished if you take the right weapons. You can't take the detachments that were designed to compliment each other. I really don't know how GW expects me to create lists. They don't give me enough viable choices. When we do find good combos they're nerfed or banned.
I haven't heard anybody mention this, but did they change how CP generation works in 11th edition? Now that we have the full rules, I searched and there doesn't seem to be any rule in the core rules or event companions that states you aren't allowed to generate more than 1 bonus CP per round. Is it unlimited now or have I just missed it?

From what I could find. As far as this reddit post can find there seems to be no limit on generating CP
Also so I don't double post, got some prebuilt Beast Snagga Boyz for cheap at my local hobby store, they were like 20 dollars so I got em and Painted them up.
Compared to leviathan, Armageddon isint really all that appealing. Plus ork players seem more interested in buying the ork half from someone else lol.
As a new Ork player, pretty much yeah. Space Marines didn't get anything really new or exciting that people wanted. I think if they had revealed a new model for the Sanguinary Guard with their wings back, or had it be Crimson Fists on the cover with the new model for Pedro Kantor, then people would care more.
Space marine half isn't particularly interesting, the covid hype has thoroughly died down(there were still some people thinking they all needed to buy leviathan as well due to the rush that happened with indomitus, and leviathan at least had the new terminators), they seem to have improved their production estimates to the point of not needing to have it pre-ordered or you won't get it, and have also been flooding stores with battleforces almost nonstop for the past 6 months. I'm sure there's some tourist sloptubers already working on videos claiming that its failed and GW is about to come to an end or whatever. The only space marine thing in the box that's actually completely new is what, the eradicators with heavy bolters? Whoopdeedoo. Everything else is just resculpts and shit. The physical rulebook is useless, cards will end up available via other means.
