''War'' Songs you enjoy - Obligatory ''Fortunate Son'' and such

For those "Deus Vult" types out there. I love the melody and the old german lyrics and perfect for those Elder Scrolls rampages.

Listened to this one time as I was frying gooks... errr, I mean zeds in KF2.

I was playing GMOD 1942 WW2 occupation RP and formed an IRA cell. The taxes were set to 100% and the fuhrer was acting like a spastic jackass. With money from our printers and wine making operations, we had funds to get weapons for a raid on the reichstag. As we charged, I played this from my mic as we marched triumphantly into the building and killed the fuhrer. Took over as fuhrer for 3 hours until I left out of boredom. I always had this song in my micspam folder for a rather humorous charge and it has a nice guitar beat.

Jimi is a god, no ifs, ands or buts about it. I remember micspamming this in Vietnam RP as we were flying in a helicopter. Unfortunately, our pilot was a mingebag and decided to crash our ride. I survived by jumping out before I got shot by vietcong. Was worth getting banned for micspamming.

204 Teslicka Brigada was a Bosnian Muslim brigade from the now Bosnian Serb city of Teslic during the breakup of Yugoslavia. Their military rock band made a lot of music videos and imo all are sorely underrated Yugoslav War classics, easily beating almost all Bosnian Serb war music. This is one of their best:

full album:

Their instrumentals and vocals are pretty good considering the wartime conditions, and it doesn't make your ears bleed unlike Serb and Kosovar war music from the 1990s. Serb war music is all awkward vocals with shitty instrumentals, and Kosovar war music is all shitty flutes with shittier vocals, but they get the most internet fame due to memery. Bosniak Muslim war music is actually the superior variety. The only thing that is off about the Teslicka Brigada videos is that they clearly didn't have a full drum set by the time they shot the video, so the drummer only has one snare but keeps on drumming like he has a full set.

Another good Bosniak war song is this one for the Muslim artillerists:

Here is a good song that has seen service in many an American war by Texan volunteers. First in the Texas Revolution of 1836, then in the Mexican War of 1846, then in the American Civil War, and lastly with the American cavalrymen in the Indian Wars of the 1870s:

This is a fun panzer song from the former East Germany. The Erich Weinert Ensemble, their military choir, aped the Soviet Union's Red Army Choir in many ways, but has its own interesting addition of Prussian military music style

Also by the late Davy Steele, a story of a disillusioned soldier whose company was abandoned by their commanders.

All sides more or less tried to go back to their cultural roots when making their propaganda songs. In the case of the Bosnian Muslims you had either Turk-LARPing or the last death spasms of 80s Yugo-rock.
Mladen Vojičić Tifa Lockhart who sings the song above was a pretty big rock star in 80s Yugoslavia. On a related note:

Memes aside I actually do enjoy Rodoljub "Roki" Vulović. But then again I can be a hopeless nostalgiafag at times.

神風 by Kagrra, is a classic for me.

I also like 千本桜 which is a filthy Miku song about post-WW2 Japan.

"Forfar Sodger", a song about a Scottish man being sent to fight in Spain, probably in the Peninsula War. He makes it sound like fun, but he lost a leg.
