Maybe it's because it's Christmas or maybe I'm getting soft in my old age, but if there's one thing this thread has taught me it's that r/waifuism doesn't give a shit about it's members. The posters there are are not your friends, and the mods even less so. A quick glance through this thread will tell you that much; all they care about is feeding waifuist delusions in the name of their "community" rather than actually showing any concern for the mental health of people posting there. Literally was right about to post when this came through and this is 100% the truth. I can't speak for the ulterior motives of the moderators, I've heard everything from wanting to just have a high member count to stupidity to just not caring at all, but god damn for a community that sells itself on anyone being welcome and caring about your individual, special "relationship", the second you get into the discord with the big leagues you're thrown out into the deep end and if you don't have it in you to sell yourself constantly your effort is a waste of time.
