I'm considering delving into android app development. I have some spare android devices, but I also want to do virtual deployments on a Windows 10/amd64 system. Does anyone have ideas/opinions on best setup?

wouldn't it be better to use something like airdroid or vysor to connect a device to your PC and run on actual hardware?

As mentioned, Google's development tools have a barebones Android virtual machine.

If you want the experience of a real device but in a VM, try Bluestacks. I've had good luck with it in the past.
