This video sums up VS as of 2022:
Absolutely stellar cinematography and scoring in this. Still blows me away that actually playing Vintage is as compelling, terrifying and cozy as these trailers make it out to be. You guys are making something really, really special.

Most of the changes and additions from the 1 major update in 2023:
Kings and queens, your team has added more incredible content to VS in the past 14 months than mojang and M$ combined have done for MC in the past 8 years, and that's not even an exaggeration.

This teaser just dropped several hours ago. It's the first second look at 1.19 we've gotten:
Our newly hired sound designer Rythillian is on a mission to bring the soundscape of Vintage Story to new heights!

Oh look, a standalone version of TerraFirmaCraft!
Never liked the mod, but I support devs for making a non-pozzed clone of Minecraft. Are there any mods for VS that make it more "Minecrafty"?

This looks very interesting. In Minecraft I only really did three things, build big compounds (tree plantations, vast wheat farms, central bases, etc.) that really served no function, explore and fill in the map (usually ragequitting at some point after a bad death), and sometimes take a specific villager village and use it as the core of a city (building both unique buildings and reconstructions of the game's generated ones). I'd also build road networks linking together sites, which really was a massive waste of my life.

This looks good because it has much more depth to the agriculture and crafting and exploration and what not. Which is something every survival game sets out to do, but they all tend to be shitty in one way or another.

Just found this thread. Excellent game by un-pozzed devswho care about optimization.

If you liked Terra Firma Craft in Minecraft you will love this game.

Also has native modding support!

Is there multiplayer support? I think this would be a fun thing to play with a few friends and create a little village or something.
You can get a bunch of people in a server to run a town. That bloodthirty fucker Rimmy made some fairly entertaining streams and one video from it. Good modding support as well, wonder if anyone would be interested in setting up a server.

Just started playing today on on this thread's recommendation and I'm really liking it a lot so far. I like how it's like Minecraft but an actual video game with depth instead of a LEGO building game for children and trannies. I've not gotten too far but I'm eager to see how the systems all play out.

I also think the Minecraft aesthetic is ugly as sin but this game really manages to pull it off well.
