Video Game Chat Thread - Pre-Alpha Experimental Version
Gearbox is set to publish "We Happy Few" next year. I was following this game for a while briefly, but even back then I wasn't going to drop £20 on an alpha. That price tag has now been doubled and now any interest I had has completely fucking waned. http://www.pcgamer.com/we-happy-few...d-retail-game-with-a-full-sized-retail-price/
They changed their mind on what kind of game they wanted to make and now they're trying to turn what they have done so far into a poor man's Bioshock. This was an incredibly overambitious decision on their part and I really don't think they'll come up with something comparable by release.
No Man's Sky is apparently a good game now. They put out a massive update which overhauled the entire game and it's actually being rated positively for the first time ever.

It was some kind of roguelike right? Maybe they think they can sell it to more people if they make it more generic. I've only heard of it and seen a few screens. I don't know a lot about it. But this is going to turn off a lot of people. Seems like a waste to try to turn it into something else now.
I want to see a Left4Dead-styled game set in the starship troopers franchise. Imagine, you and 3 or 7 others dropping into places like Klendathu and gunning down hordes of arachnids, wearing power armor as you complete objectives or other stuff. You can create your own MI trooper and kill some bugs.

Oh, and if anyone plays Diablo 3 and Payday 2, PM me your b.net battle tag and steam name(which ever game you have) and we can use the Kiwi Farms Discord(the non-Drunk Movie Night one) to voice chat as we play some rounds.

Interesting that happened at all, but at least they managed to turn it around.
Speaking of games, those oldskool arcade gamers may like to hop over to Twitch.tv for the marathon of Starcade they got going on at the moment, courtesy of Shout! Factory... https://www.twitch.tv/shoutfactorytv
Is it me or is Sega intentionally trying to fuck over Sonic Mania? First they delay the pc version of the game for 2 weeks just so launch day can come and they can say "We forgot to mention we're using Denuvo", then i'm hearing stuff about people not being able to refund the game because of the Sonic 1 gift.
Has anyone played Final Fantasy Tactics for mobile? It's only 5ish dollars, and I loved the original. Was wondering if it was worth it, if anyone could help.
