FEAR.

Sliding into guys was cool, effective, and made then do a funny little cartwheel.

Possibly Mirrors Edge. That had sliding as part of it's platforming.
FEAR's slide is also badass because it always requires a running start and it slows down immensely as you progress in it. It feels like some john woo shit like the majority of FEAR does like how you do the jumping scissor kicks by doing a stationary jump.

The Pinnacle Station DLC was outsourced to Demiurge Studios. It's probably related to why the source code for that DLC got corrupted and lost, which is why it isn't in the PS3 port or Legendary Edition. This Mass Effect DLC is actually about the most notable thing Demiurge Studios ever did, they otherwise just made some mobileslop, got bought by Sega to make mobileslop, then bought by Embracer where they now barely exist and appear to just do outsourced support work on UI and live-service programming.

I thought it didn't release for another month or so?

I'm very interested, am also surprised they're charging money for it. Figured they'd do the F2P slop route since that's Daybreaks MO now.

Is there somewhere online that shows all of the content in EQ (or at least what's included in EQL) so it can be done in the proper order? I know next to nothing about the game itself, my old MMORPG of choice was Final Fantasy XI on my old fat PS2.
Last week they let anyone in who preordered it.

The buy in ("box fee" they're calling it) is to help pay for the initial costs and prove to Daybreak there's actual interest, since they're both kinda cagey at the idea of what amounts to an official EQ Emulator Server and probably really excited about the idea of being able to license out their engines for "indie MMOs."

Like imagine if someone took LOTRO's client/server and made their own game from "scratch" with it? Or EQ/DDO? It's a potential new income stream for them, which might be important since it sounds like Daybreak's parent company is basically dead.

Forget Demon Souls, there's a shitload of really obscure JRPGs like Cross Edge or Trinity Universe that this could see ported from this.

... Any word on a Vita recompiler? There's even more over there that would be nice to see on PC, heh.
Not that I know of. Other than that, I agree with you.

Has the Vita emulator made any strides at all? Last I checked it was still very primitive.

Has anyone played Digimon Story: Time Stranger? They removed Denuvo from it so I'm considering grabbing it now after hearing it's the best Digimon game to date, but I was curious how the game handles it's DLC. I know at least one major DLC has come out with another coming, but are they tacked on to the end of the game or mixed into the main story? If it's the latter I'll just wait for a "complete" edition.

Why do people hate playing Western games? Surely boggles the mind.

It's been long since I was reminded those games exist.

Pinicle Station is also really bare bones and just uses existing maps for a handfull of bot matches that I am not sure were play tested and sometimes bug out and don't let you complete them. For intance there are times when the enemies just don't spawn in on both PC and 360, so that can't have been tested.

It is so boring and besides the appartment you get at the end, nothing of value was lost when they lost the code and couldn't put it in LE.

It isn't like Bring down the sky where there is an exciting story and it introduces a new faction that is impprtant to the story going forward. PS is just nothing, I only complete it because I am autistic that way with games.

Looks good i would like to play Gran Turismo with more than 25 frames.
You can make a good list of PS3 games to recompile. Disgaea D2 is one because unlike the other PS3 Disgaea games it never got a port to any other system. Demon Souls is another, alongside EX Troopers (Japanese only spin-off of Lost Planet, fan translation available for both PS3 and 3DS versions, the former of which I have a physical copy of). Honestly, any game that is PS3 exclusive is ripe for the picking. Now the PS1-PS3 have tools for recompilation, which means that PS4 is more than likely next if the PSP doesn't get a tool for it soon. 60 FPS Bloodborne running natively on PC cannot come soon enough. I'll take 60 fps Demon Souls though.

You can mod it back in.

That is what I have been playing for the past three days to get the appartment.

This is what horrible grinding looks like in a game.

It is just painful.
