Anyone else just go through their discovery que on Steam and refresh it when they’re bored?
I can’t help but feel bad when I see a little indie game made by one person or a small group of people that has passion put into it but only has like twenty or less reviews on it. Like, these individuals put the little free-time they have to try and make their own game and put their heart and soul into it and nobody talks about it or plays it. It’s pretty soul-crushing. If I had the money, I’d play every little indie dev’s passion project games.
I feel the same way about books that have barely any reads or reviews and are almost practically given away for free when I scroll through online bookstores, or when I drive past small businesses that never seem to have anyone in them ever. I know most people would say “well if they were good, they’d be making money,” but I can’t help but feel like they’re really small fish in a very large ocean, and I’m a sucker for the little fish.
