I know it has been said that the original petition is good legal writing, but it's good writing period. Sentences flow smoothly, vary in construction, and lead from one concise statement to the next. There's just enough details to construct a solid image of the situation, but not enough specificity to bore anyone. Basically as good a persuasive document as I've seen.

Also, I'm hoping the Funimation Requests for Production will be public. I want to see the corporate communication between Funi and Sony over this. Considering the Sony Exec made the call to fire him, is it ever possible they're going to be pulled in to the next round of lawsuits?

They're probably still confused why any of the defendants have to answer the questions in the filing.

They STILL think that people can make defamatory accusations against Vic, and Vic has to prove them wrong.

Shane is another very bright person that makes that mistake.

EDIT: PULL is also claiming that this case is going to destroy Vic's relationship with Funimation (yes, they're that dumb).
 
Ok, most of the way through the exhibits and I have a couple questions for the experts: How the F are they claiming Soye to be an agent or rep of Funimation? What does "information in its native format" mean? Is that the indexable, searchable form Nick was mentioning before, or are they cutting them some slack?

Well, she kind of has to throw everyone else under the bus to save herself, doesn't she? Her lack of involvement in the Kameha Con drama gave her a "get out of jail free" card, albeit a temporary one, that shifted the spotlight to Moronica and other idiots like them, so I wouldn't put it past her to perform some act of betrayal now that her ass is also being legally dragged.

I've said it once and I'll say it again: Monica and Roy's relationship won't survive this lawsuit. Doubly so if their finances don't survive it.

It's not like they're a healthy couple (or individuals) to begin with and this would be the ultimate test for any relationship, let alone for an unmarried couple.

Right now I'm thinking they'll just have to settle out of court, but maybe they're actually too dumb to go with the one correct response to all of this.

Guess on the agent: Using his company to donate to the 'con for Funi? I don't know. Native format is what it the thing was created in eg doc, docx, xls, pdf, eml etc... So if Funi sent out a wall text in a word doc they'd need to provide that text in a word doc rather than a pdf.

All the document says is that the total amount that will be requested will be over $100,000,000.00. We don't have a hard number for the group or individually.

He's asking for as much as he can get, legally, plus interest, plus fees, plus punitive damages. The case is being pled (pleaded?) with them being held severally and jointly liable - that means they have to all come up with the total between them and they can sue or fuck each other over who pays how much among themselves as long as Vic gets what's coming to him.

God damn, these PULL people are apparently dumber than most of Internet Famous. Destroyed relationship with Funimation is quite literally the starting point of this story arc
