As I understand it, in the us, you can put a lien on in just about any property with very little oversight, as long as you fill in the paperwork in a convincing way. The number of stories I've read, of people who have their credit rating fucked over by an unwarranted lien, is far too high. @larossmann has had it happen to him over taxes that he already paid.
I could believe that Ron has managed to get a lien on his house, because he's a lying shit who works in real estate.

The dream scenario in this situation where Vic has already lost is that Chupp does a lookover, maybe gets charmed by Vic, and slashes the awards further, prompting at a bare minimum Lemwaaah to sue MoRon for unpaid fees.
Hopium/copium to the max, but I just want to have at least one laugh at the defendants' expense.

Well, he has been ordered to do an actual factual analysis, something he's made obvious he hates to do, as it cuts into his golfing time.
