(like maybe a top down combat system like X-Men Legends and a dialogue system like Fallout 1 & 2).
I agree. Should have handed the IP to someone like Harebrained Schemes, Shadowrun: HK remains as the single best adaption of a TTRPG into a CRPG. The writing in that one is just on a different level and it's so lore accurate that it brings tears to the eyes of even the most jaded grognards. WoD, compared to other, previously niche, tabletop games who left their shadows and became mainstream successes (like D&D or 40k), is still fairly unknown in the grander normie sphere and the IP would've been perfect for some small, dedicated indie team who are fans of the source material. The triple A revival was a huge gamble and everyone involved has lost on it.

Apparently, they making a Disco Elysium Vampire the Masquerade game called, Eternal Whispers.
This has all the hallmarks of being one of the most rancid games in existence.

Let's do some sleuthing via LinkedIn:

Flyos Games is a Montreal based game studio
Uh oh, a red flag already.

This is the lead narrative designer. Look at that fucking profile picture:

he's been working five years at the company, yet this is the first game they're releasing?

The narrative designer, the profile picture speaks for itself:

much like with the lead narrative designer, this is his first job as narrative designer:

On the one hand, the two lead writers being White men is positive, as is the lack of previous experience in the industry, in a way.

The rest of the devs are also predominantly White men.

On the other hand, the devs are all White men/women from Montreal, Canada, and they are making a VtM game, so it's easy to see the kind of moronic politics they espouse.

>not Dragonfall

So does Bloodlines 2 have a single redeeming quality that might make it fun to pick up if it goes on sale for 1.99 or something?
the most interesting thing about it is the combat system which kinda sucks but also has this first person dmc thing going on that i cant explain properly

I love WoD but god, does the IP needs to go slumber for atleast a decade before coming back.
