Reminds me of that Razer Gaming Tablet that flopped pretty badly.
I can picture someone using it just to play PC games in bed though, so hopefully it shines there because gaming laptops on a bed feels like a fire hazard.

Definitely trying to take a bite out of the Switch's marketshare for gaming on the crapper.

The grip buttons on the underside are interesting, I thought that they worked well on the Steam Controller. Don't care for the Apple-style price gouging, but if you're streaming games from a different computer that might ease the weight of small on-board storage.

This is kinda what the Steam Machines, Valve's first big hardware venture, should have been imo.

I think it's a pretty nice deal. With the ability to use SD cards for extra storage and functionality of a regular PC, you have pretty limitless options. It'd probably be a dream for emulation as well.

Ultimately though I think it's gonna end up like the Steam Controller - awesome functionality but short lifespan due to its small niche fanbase

I would totally use this product, assuming

1. It is built to last at least 3 years if not 5 before hardware failures
2. dark souls 3 at minimum runs smoothly on it

I can see myself playing games like Darkest dungeon and slay the spire on this before bed just chillin' on the couch. Part of me thinks that this will ship and there will be some major issues with it, whether it be some sort of faulty hardware, overheating or issues with the buttons/sticks on it. Still hoping they deliver a well built product for $700 assuming it works is not terrible. I doubt I would purchase this though since my computer has slightly better specs then this product. If my computer was a wallmart machine designated for just browsing the internet I would probably buy it as a makeshift gaming rig that is portable.

I'm not so sure. The Valve Index is still the standard for VR headsets.

Curious to see how the build quality will be on that thing, would hope it'd at least be better than the switch's driftcons. I'd also agree that it looks good for lazy gaming around the house, would never bring that outside with how bulky it looks.
