It's pretty bad that I know exactly where the 'olive skinned' discourse you're talking about came from.I was expecting Becky With The Good Hair or some trust fund kid who only sees dark skinned people cleaning the pool or mowing the lawn.
POCs have convinced themselves that whitey is all one big glop of homogeneous mayonnaise with no culture or diversity. Therefore one whipipo is interchangeable with another but all black and brown skin is hella diverse with ten thousand different shades that you better get right unless you want to be cancelled for racism.
Funny, since they love to immediately jump on anyone in fiction described as olive skinned as being POC then become furious when a white actor is cast in the part. Yet Dear God you better believe that chocolate queen makes a great Anne Boleyn or Hermione Granger.

The account that made the fanart is a "self-ship" one, which means the other character is a self insert. They go by he/they apparently so idek what type of relationship this would be.

You know what, the text on the "art" confounds me. "That's gay"? I forget how many pronouns Emhari has. But if he's a lesbian how is cuddling with a he/him gay? Literally WTF? And this is ValiDate so why am I asking? Trying to figure it out will just give me a brain tumor.

Nutshack aside... POCs are hugely over represented in indie games as are troons and their confusingly presenting ilk. It's insane how much #woke RPG Maker and Ren'Py trash you have to wade through now just to find a decent indie title. And they want more?
I used to feel the indie scene would be really great. But I cringe now when searching for games and see that label. Unless it's from Asia it's usually some tumblr tier trashfire filled with ugly art and cringey stories. And while I may not be LGBTMAYBERRYRFD myself, I find it hard to believe that the average LGBT person looks, dresses or acts like that. It's gone from trying to gain acceptance to becoming a circus clown. This type of representation only sells to ugly tumblr stereotypes and the people who enjoy laughing at them.
I kind of feel like a lot of this queerness going on in these spaces is not unlike the "Lesbian for attention" scene girls from the previous decade. I think there's a lot of attraction to the weirdo pervy hugbox. But I also feel like "look at me!" is being shouted all the time by people who have sad lives and need the attention badly. As long as you stay pre-op or just call yourself non-binary your trooning out and genderspecialism can be easily reversed. So when the trend is over and you're too old and tired to play pretend you can go back to being normal. Let's see how many of these non-binary demigirls with he/him pronouns are going to be doing this in 10-20 years time.
Of course maybe I'm being optimistic. This is the future. Clown World is here to stay.
