Several people have been injured after a man opened fire on a tram in the Dutch city of Utrecht, police have said.

A square near a tram station has been cordoned off by authorities, and emergency services are at the scene.

The shooting took place at about 10:45 local time (09:45 GMT). Three helicopters have been despatched.

Police have asked people to keep roads clear for emergency workers to get through.

That guy is dead. You don't give CPR to a fucking GSW victim. More likely the response was quick enough that there were no DOA, so anyone that dies will technically die en transit to or at the hospital.

Yeah, I heard that too. Place is full of immigrants. That combined with the fact that the police aren't giving out any perpetrator descriptions for some reason makes me think it was a bunch of bearded goatmen.

If it was planned beforehand I wouldn't doubt that the Christchurch shooting sparked them to go along with it.

Local media report the Dutch anti-terrorism co-ordinator has called a meeting. Prime Minister Mark Rutte said he was "deeply concerned".
